Qatar Airways operates latest special livery to Chennai. The airline had operated their newly painted B777-300ER aircraft in FIFA World Cup 2022 livery on a cargo flight. This is the second aircraft in their fleet to bear these colours. The aircraft was finished painting and left Toulouse just a few days back to operate flights to Milan, Doha, Guangzhou and then Chennai. This livery is to promote the World Cup which is going to be held in Qatar in 2022.
Qatar Airways B777-300ER A7-BEC
The aircraft which was painted in its special livery representing the World Cup is a B777-300ER registered as A7-BEC. The aircraft was delivered to the Gulf Airline in August 2014 and is 6.9 years old. Qatar Airways is an official partner and the official airline of the FIFA World Cup 2022 which is set to be held in Qatar next year.
The airline to promote this event has painted its aircraft in World Cup liveries. This aircraft was painted in Toulouse just a few days back and operated flights to Milan, Doha, Guangzhou before flying to Chennai in its new livery. The new livery is definitely one of the most happening liveries at the moment. This is the second aircraft in the fleet to get such livery. The first one to get this livery was a Boeing B777-300ER registered as A7-BEB last November to make 2 years to the World Cup. Similarly that aircraft flew to Chennai just a few days it was painted into its new livery.

This aircraft operated to Chennai for the first time in its special livery. The aircraft operated QR8394 from Doha to Chennai operating a cargo flight. It departed Doha at 23:38 and arrived in Chennai at 06:14 local time with a flight time of 04:07. The aircraft used runway 25 for landing. Qatar Airways had parked in Bay no 9 at the cargo terminal. After a turn around time of around 01:30hrs the aircraft departed Chennai heading to Doha as QR8395. This is not the first time Qatar Airways has operated a special livery aircraft to Chennai. The airline has so far painted three of its aircraft in special liveries to represent FIFA World Cup 2022. All the three aircraft have flown to Chennai. The first aircraft to have been painted in special FIFA World Cup colours was a B777-300ER registered as A7-BAX in July 2018. The second aircraft to be painted in special FIFA World Cup 2022 livery again was a B777-300ER registered as A7-BEB in November 2020 to mark two years to the grand event. This livery is the same as the livery painted on A7-BEC which was the latest aircraft to be painted in special colours. Seen below is its departure from Chennai heading to Doha.
