Qatar Airways Cargo sets new record. The airline has operated its most number of cargo flights in a single day using its freighter and its passenger aircraft. The airline has been scaling up its cargo operations to balance the global supply chain. It has been operating to all 6 continents.

Qatar Airways Cargo has set a new record. The airline has operated 136 cargo flights in a single day. These flights had been operated to 51 destinations worldwide. These include 75 cargo aircraft operated flights and 61 flights operated by passenger aircraft.

The airline has been operating through the crisis. Qatar Airways is using both its cargo aircraft as well as passenger aircraft. The airline was expanding its operations at a time when other airlines were suspending and grounding their aircraft.
The airline is restoring critical global supply chain. Qatar Airways has stored all its narrow bodied aircraft as well as its A380. It has been using its A330, A350, B777 passenger aircraft majorly for its operation plus the aircraft belonging to Qatar Airways Cargo.

Qatar Airways has been a major contributor to the Global supply chain. The airline has been operating to all 6 continents using its passenger as well as cargo aircraft. Other than cargo it also is playing a major role in transportation of passengers.
Cargo services
The airline continues to operate a schedule of around 100 cargo flights per day. It is operating both charter as well as scheduled services. Last month alone the airline worked with governments and NGO’s to transport 100,000 tons of medical aid and supply.
Freight charters are operated to multiple countries including China, India , Iran, Kuwait, Lebanon, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Poland, UK, USA and Australia.
The airline is also using its passenger aircraft to carry freight only to destinations in China, Europe, India and the Middle East.
Working with Governments
The airline recently joined IFAM partnering with the Australian government through International freight assistance mechanism. Through this system the airline will offer block space and operate charter flights for the export of seafood, diary, meat from the destinations it operates to such as Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane.

The airline operates a mix of its B777 passenger and freight aircraft with passenger A350 aircraft which offer a capacity of 750 tons each way.
The airline is also providing an airbridge between China and France to bring essential medical supply to the French country to aid its fight against coronavirus.
